Is gefilte fish in your lineup?

Regarding gefilte fish, I found that the frozen gefilte fish that you can make is very good. Many areas in the USA do not have access to stores carrying the right kind of fish to make gefilte fish.
Just a tip – if you have tried the frozen and do not like the too bland white color – add some of the onion skins along with the onions.
Make sure to rinse the skins.

Yer Bubbe is like my Babcia , and she makes the same food. Mine passed away a while ago, so seeing her and that food made me feel like she was in the kitchen again feeding me. You made me hungry and nearly made me cry.

I didn’t know bubbes like this existed today. My Bubbe, many years ago used to make the bletlach for the blintzes and did they taste good. I wish Bubbe did take out.

I have fond memories as a child of keeping her company as she cooked chicken soup, biscuits, and other treats. But what I really miss is her ‘kreplach’ – she taught me to make the mince and seal the dough parcels….

I just wanted to let you know that you remind me of my grandmother and her neighbor Mrs. SXXXXXXX in Rochester NY. We spent a lot of time with them, and these are some of my best childhood memories.
Thank you for reviving them for me now that both these cherished women are gone.

Bubbe is wonderful. My mother-in-law Esther XXXXXXXX of Newton, Ma. cooked in a very similar way. Unfortunately, Esther never revealed her secrets. Thank heaven for “feed me bubbe” so at least now at the age where I am a grandmother I can learn how to make kugel and matzo balls without having to rely on Barry’s Village Deli in Waban for every holiday meal. Because Bubbe’s recipes are not complicated I feel that even I could become a successful Jewish cook. She is so much better than Martha Stewart, because everything with Martha is such a big deal I get tired just watching her and everyone knows she has a clean up staff where most of us don’t want to wash too many dishes and Bubbe has the right idea- Foil. Love you Bubbe Keep up the show. Cute grandson. My grandsons 7 and 5.
