Oh my, I just LOVE Bubbe!

I just watched the first episode and fell in love with Bubbe. She is great! All my grandparents have passed and she is just so wonderful, I want to adopt her. Just looking at the cabinets reminds me of the ones my Mother had 40 years ago.

Thanks for the wonderful, fun, episodes. Bubbe is a natural!

Hi -I was flipping through the channels and came across the segment about Bubbe and her grandson, Avrom.

A few years ago, my Grandpa passed away and my Grandma passed away a few months ago. When Bubbe said she’d like to be everyone’s “Bubbe,” my heart just melted. I had a wonderful relationship with my Grandma, I miss her terribly, and Avrom’s involvement with his grandmother reminded me of the special bond that I shared with my Grandma.

I just want to say — Bubbe, you are the cutest! God Bless.

Dear Bubbe, I just found your show today, and I absolutely love it.

I’ve just finished watching all the episodes, and I have a question for you. I’m planning on trying several recipies (maybe “adapting” would be a better word), but I’ve noticed that you haven’t once used butter in any of your dishes. This might be a problem, because butter is usually all i have around the house. do you have any advice on where I could substitute butter in your recipies safely, and where it would be a bad idea?

Dear Meredith, Wherever there is margarine you can substitute for butter. However if it is within a meat meal or if you want the meal to be Pareve you must use Pareve margarine. Of which there are several brands.

Make sure it states OU Pareve on the label.

Dear Avrom and Bubbe, congratulations on making such a great show.

My friend Steve and I both live in the UK and love to watch Bubbe cooking such great food. (My own Bubbe was niftar several years ago, and it’s nice to see Bubbe so happy in the kitchen, it brings back so many good memories.) Please tell Bubbe that her Latke recipe was delicious. I have a request to make, can Bubbe please please please show us all how to make tasty Blintzes? Potato, cheese or apple, any will do.
