Hi: I lost my ‘Bubbe’ about a year ago, but she was 100 years young. She came from Russia prior to WW1, as a child after her parents were killed. The problem is, your ‘Bubbe’ is the same age as my Mother. My ‘Bubbe’ knew dishes to cook, that no one from here knows and then some. It’s great to see that you appreciate her so much. I was the only one in my family that wrote her name as Bube. I always was joked about it. In 2 weeks, I’m flying out to go see her again at her unveiling. Which fellow Jews know happens about 1 year after you pass on. My Dad died right after she did, so it’s a double visit. But, they’re side by side. Enjoy every minute you have with your ‘Bubbe’, and cherish her unconditional love! The best to you both!

UC2IT, thank you for your interest in our videos. We wish you a coming healthy and happy new year. My background is similar to yours. My grandmother was killed in a pogrom in Russia, and my mother came to America the oldest of 6 children, hoping that she would be able to help her family which never materialized, due to hitler and the second World War.
